Registration

Registration for workshops and classes is offered online at HeartlandArtClub.org. Please call 314-690-3227 if you need assistance.

Heartland Art Club Members receive discounts for workshop. When you join or renew you will receive a discount code for workshops and classes. Please remember to use that code during online checkout process.

You may join Heartland Art Club at the time of registration for classes or workshops.

Workshops/classes are first-come, first-served. You may ask to be put on a waiting list if registration is full. There is no fee to be put on the waiting list and it is first-come, first-served. Those contacted when a space becomes available will have 24 hours to register and pay for the workshop/class.

Workshops/classes are subject to change and cancellations can happen. Please be sure to check our website, social media, and your email for updates.

We recommend you read the workshop/class description carefully to be certain the skill level required is appropriate for you. Not sure? Just give us a call and we would be happy to help.

Upon registration for classes or workshops you will receive a confirmation email. You may receive additional information and updates. Be sure to read this communication thoroughly.

Personal Conduct

Heartland Art Club reserves the right to refuse registrations/attendance from participants who exhibit or have historically exhibited unacceptable behavior or have disrupted the learning environment. Harassment toward other students will not be tolerated. Heartland Art Club reserves the right to refuse refunds to those who exhibit unacceptable and/or disruptive behavior.

We care about your health and safety so we have COVID-19 Safety Policies which can be viewed here.

Supplies

Workshop materials and supplies are typically the student’s responsibility. You will receive a supply list from the workshop coordinator in advance.

Student Members

Many workshops and classes are open to Student Members. Please contact us with any questions regarding students.

Photo Release

The workshop administrator reserves the right to take photos of the workshop in progress. If you do not wish to be photographed, please sent an email to art@heartlandartclub.org stating your request.

Meals and Beverages

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the gallery with dine-in and carry-out available. Heartland has a refrigerator and microwave for workshop use. Participants may eat at their table during the workshop. Heartland Art Club does not assume responsibility for overseeing food allergies during workshops and classes.

Tables are cleaned with disinfectant before and after workshops.

Cancellation Policy

We commit significant expenses well in advance to bring outstanding instructors to our members. We understand that last minute illnesses, emergencies and conflicts arise; however, this policy is firm.

Refunds

There are NO refunds for cancellations within 30 days prior to the workshop. Refunds minus a $100 cancellation fee will be made for all other cancellations. If you must depart during a workshop, no refund is given.

Substitutions

Registration may be transferred to another person. No refunds will be made until after the substitute has paid. Finding a substitute is not the responsibility of Heartland; however, if there is a wait list Heartland will help to facilitate the substitution.

Heartland Art Club recommends Trip Insurance for those traveling great distances. Some credit cards will do this, travel services, or auto clubs.

Though rare, cancellations due to an artist’s illness, severe weather, personal situations, or registration minimums determined by instructors can occur. If a cancellation of a workshop occurs due to an issue with the artist or Heartland Art Club, a full refund will be granted. You will be notified of a cancellation by the email with which you registered.

Heartland Art Club is not responsible for losses, fees or expenses involved in cancelling travel, lodging, or for any other losses.

Location Accessibility

Heartland Art Club endeavors to make our space as accessible as is feasible and we will do everything we can to accommodate special access requests. We do have a chair lift for individuals requiring assistance to get to the lower level where classes are held. There are 14 steps from the door to the class/workshop location. Please call us if you have any questions or have specific accessibility needs.

Please leave your pets at home. Should you require a service animal, please contact us prior to registration to discuss options.
